Long bean + pumpkin + tomato chicken porridge


Ingredients: long bean, pumpkin, tomato, chicken, rice

First time trying: Long bean  

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- dice the ingredients to small chunks 
- put pumpkin, chicken and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add tomato and long bean, continue to boil for another 10 minutes before turning off fire. Serve.

Egg yolk + tofu + vege pork porridge



Ingredients: Egg, tofu, tomato, broccoli, millet, quinoa, pork, rice


First time trying: Egg yolk

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- dice the ingredients to small chunks 
- put millet, quinoa, pork and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add tofu, tomato, broccoli and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. 
- on another bowl, boil egg for 10 minutes, remove egg yolk from the white
- first time serve half of the egg yolk only
- serve egg yolk together with porridge
  
Remark:
- Egg whites are one of the top 8 allergen and should not be fed to babies before one year old 
- Always start off with small portion of egg yolk before progress to whole egg yolk and it is important to follow the 4 days wait rule to rule out allergic reactions.

Brinjal + tomato + peasprout + grains + pork porridge


Ingredients: Brinjal, tomato, pea sprout, millet, quinoa, pork, rice

First time trying: brinjal (eggplant)

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- dice the ingredients to small chunks 
- put millet, quinoa, pork and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add brinjal, tomato, peasprout and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

Foods Good to Mix With Eggplant:
  • Green bean
  • Summer squash – zucchini or yellow/crooked necked
  • Carrots
  • Cheese
  • Brown rice
  • Lentils
  • Pasta

Corn + carrot + broccoli + grain + chicken porridge


Ingredients: Corn, carrot, broccoli, millet, quinoa, chicken, rice

First time trying: corn 

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- peel the skin of carrot
- boil the ingredients (corn, carrot, broccoli) for about 15-20 minutes 
- dice the ingredients to small chunks and set aside 
- put millet, quinoa, chicken and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- once done, toss cooked vege on top of porridge. Serve. 

Foods Good to Mix With Corn for Baby Food:
Remark: Because corn – fresh corn in particular – is difficult for babies to digest, many parents prefer to delay its introduction until their digestive systems are a little more robust – generally after 12 months of age.

Pearl bean + veges + grains + pork porridge


Ingredients: Pearl bean, pumpkin, tomato, spinach, millet, quinoa, pork, rice

First time trying: pearl bean  

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- remove pearl beans from pods
- dice the ingredients to small chunks 
- put pearl bean, tomato, pumpkin, millet, quinoa, pork and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add spinach and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

Tips: good to use pearl bean to boil soup 

First food : Tomato

- add tomato and peasprout and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

How to prepare your millet and quinoa:
  • Rinse the grains thoroughly in purified water to remove any stones or unhulled pieces. 
  • Soak for 8 – 12 hours in purified, room temperature water.
  • Before cooking, rinse thoroughly in purified water. 
Remark: normally mommy Sheree soak millet and quinoa in ceramic bowl and cover it, leave in fridge overnight.

Purple carrot + carrot + parsnip + french bean + millet porridge


Ingredients: purple carrot, carrot, parsnip, French bean, millet, rice

First time trying: millet

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- peel the skin of purple carrot, carrot and parsnip
- cut the ingredients to small chunks 
- put purple carrot, carrot, parsnip, millet and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add french bean and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

How to prepare your millet:

- wash the ingredients clean 
- remove peas from pods 
- cut the ingredients to small chunks 
- put rice in a small pot
- add water to half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add all the ingredients and continue to boil for another 5-10 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

NOTE: Soy is a potential allergen. It is important to apply the four day rule as you introduce this food to your baby and discuss any concerns with your GP or health visitor.

Baby carrot + peasprout + salmon porridge



Ingredients: baby carrot, peasprout, salmon, rice 


First time trying: salmon 

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- peel the skin of baby carrot
- sprinkle drops of lemon juice over salmon and leave it 
- cut the ingredients to small chunks 
- put baby carrot and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add salmon and continue to boil for another 15 minutes, add pea sprout and boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 


Brussel sprouts + baby carrot + chicken porridge


Ingredients: 3 Brussel sprouts, 1 baby carrot, chicken, rice

First time trying: Brussel sprouts 

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- peel the skin of baby carrot and remove the leaf
- cut the ingredients to small chunks, chop each Brussel sprout to four quarter
- put carrot, chicken and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add Brussel sprouts and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

Remark: 
Brussel sprouts can cause wind/gas, so only give your baby a little.

Peasprout + pumpkin + pork porridge


Ingredients: Peasprout, pumpkin, pork, rice

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- peel the skin of pumpkin
- cut the ingredients to small chunks 
- put pumpkin, pork and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add peasprout and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

Peasprout + purple sweet potato + chicken porridge


Ingredients: Peasprout, purple sweet potato, chicken, rice

First time trying: peasprout 

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- peel the skin of sweet potato
- cut the ingredients to small chunks 
- put sweet potato, chicken and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add peasprout and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

Spinach + purple sweet potato + chicken porridge



Ingredients: spinach, purple sweet potato, chicken, rice

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- cut the ingredients to small chunks 
- put purple sweet potato, chicken and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add spinach and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 


Baby spinach + pumpkin + chicken porridge


Ingredients: baby spinach, pumpkin, chicken, rice 

First time trying: baby spinach

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- cut the ingredients to small chunks 
- put pumpkin, chicken and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add baby spinach and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve.

Foods good to mix with spinach:
  • Carrots
  • Parsnip
  • Peas
  • Potatoes (white and sweet)
  • Summer Squash – yellow, zucchini
  • Lentils
  • Chicken

Celery + potato + chicken porridge



Ingredients: Celery, Potato, chicken breast, rice 

First time trying: chicken

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- peel white potato
- put chicken, potato and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add celery when porridge is almost cook, continue to boil for another 5 minutes
- once done, put porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

Remark: celery is considered one of the dirty dozen, best to choose organic. 



Broccoli + carrot porridge



Ingredients: broccoli, carrot, rice 

Method:
- wash the ingredients 
- peel carrot. And cut ingredient to small chunks 
- put rice and carrot in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add broccoli when porridge is almost cooked
- continue to boil another 5 minute
- once done, place porridge in food processor and blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 


Broccoli + potato porridge


Ingredients: broccoli, potato, rice 

First time trying: broccoli 

Method:
- wash the ingredients 
- peel white potato
- put rice and potato in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- when porridge is almost done, add in broccoli and continue to boil for another 5 minutes 
- place cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

Potato + pork ribs porridge

 
Ingredients: Potato, pork ribs, rice 

First time trying: pork rib

Method:
- wash the ingredients 
- peel white potato
- put all the ingredients in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- once done, scrape off meat from the ribs, put in food processor together with cooked porridge, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

Remark: 
Baby Julius started to have two meals at this age. Porridge around at 11pm, fruit snack at around 3pm.
