First food : Persimmon


Ingredient: Persimmon

Method:
- wash thoroughly and peel the skin
- dice into chunks 
- steam for about 5 minutes or until soft 
- blend to puree form. Serve. 

Remark: Baby Julius has got allergic reaction (sth like hives over his body) after consuming persimmon. 

A Few Foods Good to Mix With Persimmons:
  • Bananas
  • Pears
  • ApplesButternut or Acorn Squash
  • Chicken
  • Yogurt

Parsnip + carrot + broccoli pasta


Ingredient: parsnips, carrot, broccoli, baby pasta 

Method: 
- boil baby pasta until soft and set aside (can put one or two drops of olive oil while boiling to prevent pasta from sticking) 
- wash the ingredients clean and chop to pieces 
- steam parsnip and carrot for 5 minutes, add in broccoli and continue steaming for another 5 minutes 
- place in food processor and blend to puree form 
- toss puree on top of cooked pasta and serve warm 




Asparagus + apple puree


Ingredients: Asparagus, apple

First time trying: asparagus 

Method: 
- wash asparagus and apple under cool water 
- peel the skin of asparagus and apple 
- break asparagus, slice apple
- place both ingredients in steamer and cook for about 5 minutes, or until tender
- puree in food processor or blender until smooth 
- add water as needed to reach desired consistency
- strain to eliminate asparagus "string". Serve. 

Asparagus tastes great on its own or mixed other veggies, grains, and protein. Try mixing asparagus puree with:
  • Zucchini
  • Carrots
  • Russet Potatoes
  • Rice
  • Lentils
  • Beef
  • Chicken
  • Salmon

First food : Mango


Ingredient: half mango

Method: 
- wash and peel mango
- scoop the flesh and put in blender 
- blend to puree form. 
Add water if needed until the proper consistency for your baby is achieved. Serve. 

Foods Good to Mix With Mangos:

Avocado + apple puree


Ingredients: half avocado, half apple

Method:
- wash apple and peel the skin
- cut half of the avocado and scoop out flesh
- place them in blender and blend to puree form. Serve. 

A Few Foods Good to Mix With Avocado to Make Tasty Baby Food:

Baby carrot + peasprout + salmon porridge



Ingredients: baby carrot, peasprout, salmon, rice 


First time trying: salmon 

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- peel the skin of baby carrot
- sprinkle drops of lemon juice over salmon and leave it 
- cut the ingredients to small chunks 
- put baby carrot and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add salmon and continue to boil for another 15 minutes, add pea sprout and boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 


Brussel sprouts + baby carrot + chicken porridge


Ingredients: 3 Brussel sprouts, 1 baby carrot, chicken, rice

First time trying: Brussel sprouts 

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- peel the skin of baby carrot and remove the leaf
- cut the ingredients to small chunks, chop each Brussel sprout to four quarter
- put carrot, chicken and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add Brussel sprouts and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

Remark: 
Brussel sprouts can cause wind/gas, so only give your baby a little.

First food : Plum


Ingredient: Plum

Method: 
- wash and peel the plum 
- slice to pieces 
- steam for about 5 minutes (optional) 
- place in food processor and blend to puree form. Serve. 

Foods Good to Mix With Plums:

Peasprout + pumpkin + pork porridge


Ingredients: Peasprout, pumpkin, pork, rice

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- peel the skin of pumpkin
- cut the ingredients to small chunks 
- put pumpkin, pork and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add peasprout and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

Apricot + banana puree



Ingredients: one apricot, one small banana

Method: 
- wash and peel the apricot
- peel banana
- blend in food processor to puree form. Serve. 

Apricot puree makes a blissful match with sweeter veggies and fruits, beef, chicken, and turkey. Try mixing apricot puree with:
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Applesauce
  • Pear
  • Banana
  • Full-fat Greek yogurt
  • Baby oatmeal
  • Chicken
  • Turkey
  • Beef
  • Lamb

Peasprout + purple sweet potato + chicken porridge


Ingredients: Peasprout, purple sweet potato, chicken, rice

First time trying: peasprout 

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- peel the skin of sweet potato
- cut the ingredients to small chunks 
- put sweet potato, chicken and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add peasprout and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

First food : Apricot


Ingredient: two apricots 

Method: 
- wash and peel the apricots
- slice the apricots
Puree apricots in a food processor or blender until smooth. Add water as needed to reach desired consistency. Serve. 

Remarks:
Apricot is one of the best food for constipation relief.

Spinach + purple sweet potato + chicken porridge



Ingredients: spinach, purple sweet potato, chicken, rice

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- cut the ingredients to small chunks 
- put purple sweet potato, chicken and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add spinach and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 


Baby spinach + pumpkin + chicken porridge


Ingredients: baby spinach, pumpkin, chicken, rice 

First time trying: baby spinach

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- cut the ingredients to small chunks 
- put pumpkin, chicken and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add baby spinach and continue to boil for another 5 minutes before turning off fire 
- once done, put cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve.

Foods good to mix with spinach:
  • Carrots
  • Parsnip
  • Peas
  • Potatoes (white and sweet)
  • Summer Squash – yellow, zucchini
  • Lentils
  • Chicken

Avocado + banana puree


Ingredients: half avocado, one small banana

Method: 
- cut avocado to half and scoop out flesh 
- peel banana
- put them in a bowl and mash with fork. Serve 
- no cook recipe

Tips: best consume right away to prevent food from further browning 


Celery + potato + chicken porridge



Ingredients: Celery, Potato, chicken breast, rice 

First time trying: chicken

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean 
- peel white potato
- put chicken, potato and rice in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add celery when porridge is almost cook, continue to boil for another 5 minutes
- once done, put porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 

Remark: celery is considered one of the dirty dozen, best to choose organic. 



Apple + banana puree


Ingredients: half apple, one small banana

Method: 
- this is no cook recipe
- wash and peel the apple, peel banana
- cut small chunks and blend with food processor. Serve. 

Mommy sheree's tips to prevent sliced fruit from turning brown:
- steam apple before blending
- sprinkle lemon juice over sliced fruit 
- soak in cold water / lemon water

Broccoli + carrot porridge



Ingredients: broccoli, carrot, rice 

Method:
- wash the ingredients 
- peel carrot. And cut ingredient to small chunks 
- put rice and carrot in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- add broccoli when porridge is almost cooked
- continue to boil another 5 minute
- once done, place porridge in food processor and blend for smoother consistency. Serve. 


First food : Banana



Ingredient: Banana (mommy Sheree uses pisang emas) 

Method:
- peel two small banana
- mash with fork and serve

Remark:
No need to steam or cook


Broccoli + potato porridge


Ingredients: broccoli, potato, rice 

First time trying: broccoli 

Method:
- wash the ingredients 
- peel white potato
- put rice and potato in a small pot
- add water until it covers the ingredients and half of the pot
- stove cook for 45 minutes to one hour 
- stir occasionally
- when porridge is almost done, add in broccoli and continue to boil for another 5 minutes 
- place cooked porridge in food processor, blend for smoother consistency. Serve.
