Caramel apple pudding


Ingredients: apple, egg, brown sugar, fresh milk, water

Method: 
- to make bottom caramel part: add one teaspoon of brown sugar in a small pot and start to boil, once sugar boil to dissolve, add 60ml of warm water, stir. Turn off fire once boiling, pour sugar to pudding jar. Once cool, put pudding jar in freezer to solidify. 
- peel and dice apples to chunks
- place apple and 30ml of fresh milk in blender and blend and sieve. 
- (one egg requires 100ml fresh milk. If the end product of sieved apple milk is 60ml, add another 40ml of fresh milk.) 
- beat egg to apple milk, stir evenly, sieve 2 times.
- get pudding jar from the freezer, pour in apple milk
- place the pudding jar in steamer and steam for 10 minutes. 
- done. Once pudding is cooled, put in fridge. Serve chill. 

Remark: for baby who has not tried whole egg and fresh milk, can substitute with egg yolk and formula milk/breast milk.

Chicken soup with fennel, leeks, carrot + apple


Ingredients: fennel, leeks, carrot, apple, chicken, water

First time trying: Fennel

Method:
- wash the ingredients clean
- use hot water to run over chicken
- remove fennel stems and cut the bulb to half
- peel carrot, chop carrot and leeks
- put all the ingredients in a bowl
- fill in water and bring to boil
- once it is boiling, turn to medium heat and continue to boil for another 1.5-2 hours
- serve with rice or mee

Blackberry apple oat


Ingredients: blackberry, apple, organic rolled oat (blend to powder form) 

Method: 
- wash the fruit clean
- peel apple, dice to small chunks
- cut blackberries in half 

- in a bowl, add water and oat and bring to boil
- add fruits and continue to cook (or you may add fruit after oat is cooked, before serve)
- total cooking time around 10-15 minutes. Serve. 

Remark: mommysheree chose organic rolled oat (also called old-fashioned oat) for Baby Julius, as instant oat tend to be less nutritious because they have usually had sugar, salt or other flavoring added to them.

Chicken & apple ball


Ingredients: apple, shiitake mushroom, corn, carrot, onion, chicken, olive oil, plain flour

Method: 
- wash the ingredients clean
- peel carrot and apple, chop finely 
- remove corn from cob
- chop mushroom, onion
- dice chicken to pieces 
- heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion for about 3 minute
- mix apple, carrot, corn, mushroom with the chicken
- add the cooked onion
- roughly blend in a food processor for a few seconds 
- with your hands, form into little balls, roll in flour and fry in shallow oil for about 5 minute until lightly golden and cooked through

Asparagus + apple puree


Ingredients: Asparagus, apple

First time trying: asparagus 

Method: 
- wash asparagus and apple under cool water 
- peel the skin of asparagus and apple 
- break asparagus, slice apple
- place both ingredients in steamer and cook for about 5 minutes, or until tender
- puree in food processor or blender until smooth 
- add water as needed to reach desired consistency
- strain to eliminate asparagus "string". Serve. 

Asparagus tastes great on its own or mixed other veggies, grains, and protein. Try mixing asparagus puree with:
  • Zucchini
  • Carrots
  • Russet Potatoes
  • Rice
  • Lentils
  • Beef
  • Chicken
  • Salmon

Avocado + apple puree


Ingredients: half avocado, half apple

Method:
- wash apple and peel the skin
- cut half of the avocado and scoop out flesh
- place them in blender and blend to puree form. Serve.

Apple + banana puree


Ingredients: half apple, one small banana

Method: 
- this is no cook recipe
- wash and peel the apple, peel banana
- cut small chunks and blend with food processor. Serve. 

Mommy sheree's tips to prevent sliced fruit from turning brown:
- steam apple before blending
- sprinkle lemon juice over sliced fruit 
- soak in cold water / lemon water

Apple + carrot puree

 

Ingredients: Carrot, half apple 

First time eating: carrot

Method: 
- wash and peel carrot and apple
- cut them to smal chunks
- steam for about 10 minutes
- blend to puree form. Serve.
